RIBS boiled with coca-cola and whisky

Hello everyone!

My name is Sophie. I am presently living in the province of Quebec, Canada. My story is that before buying a house, I had no interest in cooking. At all! But having someone to cook for, a big kitchen, and a craving for something better than take-out, I decided to explore the possibilities that cooking could offer. I slowly discovered the science of baking a cake, the magnificence of spices, the flavors that make your mouth travel, and the satisfaction of a nice meal (with a good wine ;)).

Trying recipes from different sources and dealing with a dairy-free aspect, I thought that maybe I could share my experiences with others. The recipes that I liked, the chef that changed my way of seeing food, my discoveries of a whole new aspect of cooking without milk. I have to say that the arrival of new products – dairy-free – was a total relief. Lactose free milk and ice cream changed my husband life, and so it upgraded my cooking. I still didn’t find a good way to replace crème fraîche but I heard about silk tofu might be a good alternative. I will certainly give it a try sometime soon. Work in progress…
